What do I bring on my first session?
Come dressed to play sport, wear trainers and bring something to drink. If you have shin-pads bring those too (we usually have one or two spare pairs at colts) and we have hockey sticks of assorted sizes you can borrow. We play in all weathers (except under snow/ice).
A gum-shield is recommended for games. We usually have a limited stock of gum-shields available to buy for £3 if needed.

How do I order kit or a shirt?
BBHC play in navy blue shirts with white trim, and blue socks. Change strip is white shirts with blue trim.

For colts kit, we hope to have the order form online in the next few weeks, but you can also ask Svetlana at colts training on Sunday mornings to order kit.

How much does it cost? (Juniors)
Colts (Under 18s) pay a membership subscription of £80 for the season.
This cost covers all colts' hockey on Sundays - training, games and tournaments (home and away) - this is the only fee you pay for the whole season!
A subs + kit bundle is available that includes a Colts shirt (or shorts and socks) for £95.
If you join halfway through the season a discount is applied (please ask for details). We also offer refer a friend + get £20 for each colts player (or £50 for adults) you introduce who signs up to BBHC (rules apply).
Your subs go towards the cost of pitch hire and insurance, training, safeguarding and first aid courses for the coaches, and equipment (balls, goalkeeper kit, etc.).
If there are three or more family members playing for BBHC, each membership is discounted by 10% If the total cost of playing feels prohibitive please talk to us so that we can make arrangements to assist with costs.

How much does it cost? (Adults)
Players pay a membership subscription (subs) for the season. Full adult subs are just £160 for the entire season (1st September to 31st August) if paid before 31st October.
Discounted subs are £95 for students or if you're unemployed.
For new members joining from Greenwich University - subs are just £50
(sign-up at Freshers Fair, or find us at any training session)Refer a friend + get £50! If you introduce a friend to BBHC and they sign up, BBHC will pay £50 (or £20 for colts, rules apply).
Discounted subs are available if you join halfway through the season and for family members. There are different ways to pay (please ask for details).
A match fee (£5 – £10) is collected from players on Saturdays to cover pitch hire, teas and insurance. If the total cost of playing feels prohibitive please talk to us so that we can make arrangements to assist with costs.
Social membership, for non-playing members is £10.

BBHC - is that Bexleyheath or Belvedere?
Bexleyheath and Belvedere Hockey Club was formed in 1997 from the merger of Bexleyheath Hockey Club (founded in 1923) and Belvedere Hockey Club (founded in 1921).
BBHC is part of Bexleyheath Sports Club. Our clubhouse is in Welling, where Bexleyheath Cricket Club, Bexleyheath Tennis Club and Plumstead Runners also call home.
